Personally, we here at CGE love flowers! It's one of the vendor meetings we get the most excited over and enjoy seeing how it brings an overall wedding design together. However, we recognize that not everyone has a big floral budget or has as much interest in florals like we do! We're here to share some of our favorite ways to help you get the most out of your wedding flowers!
1. Reuse ceremony arrangements in your reception space!
Alter pieces can be used as centerpieces on your sweetheart or head table. You will most likely take family photos by your ceremony space so when these are completed have someone remove the arrangement and relocate to your table!
Aisle decor can be placed in other areas such as cocktail tables, gift table, on the bar or even on the cake table to dress these areas up and give them a finished look without spending more on flowers.
2. Consider donating your arrangements to hospitals or nursing homes after your reception.
You would not believe the joy flowers bring to the residents! Ask your florist if they offer this service or can refer someone who would pick your arrangements up at the end of your wedding and deliver them!
3. Gifts for your guests!
You can also let your guests take arrangements home. I have found the best way to do this is either have your DJ make an announcement at the end of the night or print up a little note for the table letting them know they can take the centerpiece home. Just make sure you one the vases and didn't rent them from your florist!
