This is a very crazy time we live in. The new year came in swinging and I don't know if any of us were really ready for it. We all had to figure out a new normal and some of us might still be working through that process. As a wedding planner, I could slowly see the chaos unfolding like a drunk guest that hit cocktail hour a little too hard.
Here are a few things to keep in mind and why you shouldn't get too discouraged or take too long of a break when it comes to your planning...
Thousands of weddings and events are being rescheduled all over. While many of us wedding vendors lost business this year from postponements and cancellations, other dates are filling up even quicker than usual with the rescheduling. If you are financially able, keep booking your vendors to ensure you get your top choices!
Now more than ever, a planner is your best resource! It's our superpower to be able to navigate through the chaos! Our schedules are filling up quickly as couples are realizing they need additional assistance in planning during a crisis. At the very least look into wedding management or a month of coordinator!
While many out there are considered essential workers, others are finding extra time on their hands. Use it wisely and check off those planning tasks!
Retail Therapy = Helping a Small Business! That's right...who doesn't get a little boost when they go shopping? Many creatives out there are offering discounts during this time to boost their sales and give consumers a little break since we are all in this together! Still looking for some pretty signs? - Go shopping! Still need wedding party gifts? - Go shopping! Check it off the list and help a small business too!
One complaint we are use to hearing is how busy everyone is and not being able to get help from your friends and family. Now is the best time to hop on a virtual hangout or house party sesh and talk about that shower that you will be having once all this is over. Let everyone be motivated and excited with you. It'll keep your outlook positive and focused! It's not the ideal situation to plan a wedding but it will all be ok and we're gonna get through this!
We know things can be crazy on a normal day while planning a wedding! That's why we decided to add Virtual Planning Sessions to our service! We want to be able to help all the couples out there trying to navigate wedding planning during the chaos. Check out more info here!
